Frequently asked questions

Which power pack lines does Gazzera build?

Three lines: Group 1 AC for fixed mains-powered machines, Group 1 DC at 12/24V for mobile equipment and battery applications, Group 0.5 DC for very tight spaces. Beyond power packs we build custom hydraulic power units.

Which supply voltages are available?

DC: 12V and 24V. AC: 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase. Solenoid valve coils are available at 12/24V DC and 24/110/230V AC.

What flows can you achieve?

With the Group 1 line up to about 20 l/min, with Group 0.5 up to about 3 l/min. Flow depends on pump displacement (0.88 to 9.8 cm³/rev) and motor speed.

Which reservoirs do you fit?

From 1.5 to 30 litres, in plastic or steel, horizontal or vertical. On request also in AISI 316 stainless steel, as in our power packs for the food industry.

Do you also sell individual components and spare parts?

Yes: the manifolds, components and accessories in our catalogue are also sold separately, to machine builders and distributors. For spare parts, contact us from the contact page.

What data do you need for a quote?

Six inputs: the required force (which sets pressure and relief valve setting), movement speed (flow), duty cycle, available voltage, cylinder oil volume (reservoir) and control functions. The configurator on the Tools page gives a first answer.

Which hydraulic oil should I use?

Usually an HLP ISO VG 32 mineral oil for cold climates and DC units, or ISO VG 46 for hot climates and prolonged duty; an HV oil where temperature varies widely. Never engine oil. Our guide explains the choice.

Where are you and when are you open?

In Cervere (CN), Italy, Via dell’Aviazione, snc. Office and goods collection Monday to Friday, 8:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30. Phone +39 0172 495790.

Do you also build larger hydraulic power units?

Yes: besides power packs we build units to specification, such as the one for wind turbine emergency brakes (1.2 kW, synchronised cylinders) or the two-valve unit for a machine tool’s cutting blades.

What is the maximum pressure of Gazzera power packs?

Up to 230 bar continuous, depending on pump displacement (130 bar with the 9.8 cm³/rev pump), and short peaks above 250 bar. More displacement means more flow but less pressure: the table by displacement is on the line pages.

What is the lead time for a custom power pack?

Typically 2 to 4 weeks for catalogue configurations and 4 to 8 weeks for custom projects, depending on quantity and special components.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No: we build anything from a single prototype to series production. It is one of the advantages of in-house manufacturing.

Do you provide manuals and technical documentation?

Yes: every power pack is built to the application’s specification and comes with technical documentation and declarations according to European standards.

Which certifications does Gazzera hold?

Quality management system certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 by TÜV Italia, certificate no. 50 100 10584, valid until 15 August 2029. Details on the Company page.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship within Italy and abroad; documentation is available in Italian and English.
